The Summer...

My time here, I feel, is quickly coming to an end and I have only a limited amount of time before I have to head back to do everything that I want to do. This summer, I am living with Auveen, her boyfriend (whom I have not met yet), and Vilena. The apartment is going to be cheap (300 lira per month = 190 dollars a month), but it doesn't come with AC, a laundry machine, or a dish washer. The internet is wireless and is a pain to use at times, and it is downhill from Bogaziçi. Therefore every morning I must wake up and walk up a hill in order to get to classes.

The two classes I will be taking this summer are Matrix Theory and Partial Differential Equations. I shouldn't be taking Matrix Theory, but my professor last semester really did screw me over on one of the examinations and fluncked me along with almost everyone else. Not the nicest professor in the world.

However, at the moment of writing this blog I just finished a two week adventure traveling by bus to Yerevan, Echmiadzin (Armenia), Tblisis, Batumi (Georgia), Trabzon, Uzungol, Ayder, Hopa, Artvin, Yusufeli, Barhal, Erzerum, Diyarbakir, Hasankeyf, and Mardin. It was crazy, it was wild, it was fun, it was challenging, it was tiring...it was everything I could have possibly asked for. More about it will come in the following week.

My next planned trips will be short weekend trips where I will couch surf the entire way, because it cuts down on costs. I will probably only have enough time for two at the max, and three if I am lucky. The two definite ones are to Izmir, and Van. Other possible ventures include going to Lesvos (Greece), Baku (Azerbaijan), a return trip to either Cappaddocia or Antalya (because I love those places), Bodrum, or perhaps Athens. I would like to do them all but I don't have that kind of time, nor the money. Besides I need to save some of these places for the next time I come. Yes, there will be a next time...reason is below:

(Sorry but the picture I was going to post was my version of a Birthday card for my sister's Birthday. What was on it was just a little humor about how I don't ever want to leave Turkey because Turkish woman are by and large extremely beautiful and on the picture were two friends I made while traveling. However they probably wouldn't like it if there picture was posted in such a card so I decided to not include it.)
